How To Survive Disasters

Places like Japan and Indonesia are known for earthquakes. The local residents are taught to handle such disasters even before they are taught to drive a car. Such is the necessity of the situation an d can be obtained from silver bull market . Desperate times call for desperate measures. The people are who are born and brought up in places where tremors and earthquakes are just other occurrences, they are taught not to panic. Going into panic mode can never be good while handling such emergency situations. The brain literally goes into freeze mode and people are in more trouble than ever.

When you are taught and trained to handle disasters, you automatically go into the zone. You do not stop to think about what to do next. It is honestly asking for trouble to pause and worry about your next move when the roof could, in reality, be falling over your head. For people who have seen and felt such tremors all their lives, the muscle memory takes over. The survival instinct kicks in. The next steps are taken without much ado.

Such training makes sure that post-traumatic stress does not take place. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is described as the health condition that can be triggered by a terrifying event. It is not specific to war heroes and rape victims. They also apply to people affected by accidents and disasters. It can also hit those who witness the horrors, not just the ones experiencing it.

Being prepared for such disasters comes automatically to some people. While some are myopic in nature and refuse to look at the possibility of things going wrong, there are some people who do everything in their power to be prepared. Now this is not the same as living in mortal fear and living each day like it is your last. It is about being able to face the day knowing that you will be able to handle whatever is thrown at you because you know that you are prepared.

There are some families who grow their own food in aquaponic gardens. Aquaponics is the system that is the combination of conventional aquaculture with hydroponics in an environment that is symbiotic in nature. Aquatic animals such as fish, snails and prawns are raised in water where cultivating plants are grown. Plants are grown in a sterile environment or completely immersed in water.

A big earthquake could crack the water and air piping under the ground but would probably leave a lot of the water in the troughs and tanks to enable the plants and the aquatic animals to survive the disaster giving you enough time to rectify it. Two or three weeks of such a situation can be handled by them. This system is a fantastic idea when it comes to places where earthquakes are quite common. It makes good sense to have a kind of food and water supply ready and one that does not depend on outside sources. It can be hard to hunt for food and water when the ground is shaking and there is nowhere else to go.

people who are trained to handle and get over such tragedies have moved on in life and some of them have actually managed to achieve something. There is the beautiful example of an earthquake survivor from Nepal who has managed to make it to the Rio for the Olympics. Gaurika Singh is an outstanding example of how you can go through your worst moments in your life and come out a shining like a new penny. She had been to Kathmandu to attend the national swimming championships in April.

She along with her family of her mother and brother was caught in the earthquake that had killed nine thousand people and left countless people, homeless. She had survived the disaster because her mother had pushed her under the table. She was so shocked by the devastation that had incurred because of the natural calamity and was so moved by it that she had donated all her competitive winnings towards the relief fund.

The ability to face such a disaster and come out stronger is really something to appreciate.
